Textbook: Glencoe Algebra 1 & 2
Course Description
This class is designed for the Learning Support students who need extra time and help with the Algebra concepts. Students will be taught the same curriculum as the regular Algebra classes. The difference is between the delivery of each concept, the time, and the materials used. Students will also be taking KEYstone in Algebra.
Student Responsibilities:
* Classroom Behavior: Each student should attend class. Each student will be expected to abide by all classroom rules, school rules and regulations as in the Code of Conduct. In addition each student will show courtesy, respect and consideration to their peers and teacher. Each student is expected to put forth effort in all class activities, to maintain the highest level of integrity and honesty in their work and to ask for help when needed. There are no cell phones allowed in class.
* Homework and Classwork: It is expected that students participate in class. Students will be graded but not limited to on classwork, projects, vocab notebook, and problem of the day. Students will also be preparing for the KEYstone Algebra I exam and be progressed monitored throughout the course to measure growth.
* Unit Tests and Quizzes: At the end of each unit, an exam will be given which will test students' knowledge of the subject matter that was covered.
